In an industry that has bent people onto career containers (UX, UI, Front-end ad infinitum) of which I have done many of, but, I’ve resisted identifying myself one thing or another, and when pushed to label what my role is I’d normally say “I solve visual & logic problems for people” or simply “Web Designer”.

I’ve been reluctant to call myself more specific because once you do that, you generally are called upon to do only one thing (admittedly as an ‘expert’) and as a consequence, you might not be called upon to try other designer-y things.
